Fernando Gomes
PHOTOGRAPHER
Fernando Gomes is a documentary photographer drawn to people and the spaces they build and inhabit. Working with natural light and an instinct for unfolding moments, his work moves across architecture, portraiture, and long-form documentary — always in pursuit of the story a place or person is telling.
Born in Brazil and raised across Europe, Fernando came to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts and lived in the city for eight years before relocating to Colorado, where he is based today. He works worldwide.
His images have been exhibited at Fou Gallery in New York, Noordelicht Photofestival, Photo LA, and Miami Project. He is currently completing a long-term photography book about New York City.
